"My paintings try to convey and extend to everybody the beauty in this world which we often overlook. I sketch the sun, the breeze, the river, building up my feelings towards them through memory and colours"

"Why do I go back to the technique of free-hand sketches?

The simple and straight answer is : For the memories. Doing black and white sketches bring me back to my beginnings as an artist.

My black and white sketches also tell of my grounding in Nature and my feel for its surroundings, including buildings and people. It is the language of art - be it in colour or black and white."

"Mine is not headlong rush into the creative process. I seek calmness and repose. I prepare myself meditatively and intuitively. From the first moments, even before my pencil touches the canvas, I try to get a feel of the place.

Feel the warmth or cold and touch the texture of the surface of trees and leaves.I close my eyes, listen to the breeze and feel the pulse of the Earth and its rhythm. Then, and only then, do I set pen to paper."
